Indigo Cancels 37 flights after grounding of planes
Recently Indigo cancels 37 flights after getting its 8 flights grounded by DGCA. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) grounded total 11 planes on March 13th 2018 because of engine failure problems. 8 out of these 11 planes are operated by Indigo Airlines and 3 by GoAir airlines. DGCA took this decision after an aircraft A320 suffered engine failure problem in mid air. Aircraft landed in emergency situations at Ahmedabad airport. Good thing was everyone including crew members and passengers were safe during this emergency landing.
After indigo cancels 37 flights, people started facing problem during their travel. However, in an official statement, Indigo said “We have cancelled flights on routes, where we have multiple flights, where we can adjust passengers on to other flights. While we understand that this may cause inconvenience to some of our passengers, given that we have multiple flights to the same destination, we are proactively re-accommodating all our affected passengers on other flights.”
Passengers are not happy with this. Even the airline companies are trying to make adjustments and serving each and every passenger. Also, companies are providing alternate options to its customers. Travelers can choose to use another flight, can get full refund and can avoid additional cost on flight cancellation.
GoAir is working to solve problems for its customers. Company is trying to shift passengers to other flights and running other options for visitors. People might not be happy but DGCA took the right decision. Considering safety feature, it’s very much important not to compromise with quality. Airline companies are trying to co-operate with passengers and providing different options for visitors so that they could avoid problems during their journey.
